Election Day results confirmed an outcome that was certain--I have been elected to a second term. I am honored by the opportunity to continue to serve the residents and businesses of District 1.
I am grateful for the support and encouragement I received from the community, donors, organizations, and colleagues that made my
re-election possible.
And a special shoutout to my District 1 staff, both current and past, that have done the good work every day. My achievements rests on their shoulders.
With a second and final term, I will continue to work with you to address our city's biggest challenges, while meeting your everyday needs. We will build on our first three years, focusing on public safety, homelessness, infrastructure, and government efficiency. We will continue to adhere to environmental values while building a sustainable local economy. Constituent services will remain a top priority.
We will have difficult budget conversations over the next few years, affecting city services and infrastructure. The challenges will not be easy to resolve, sustainable solutions will not happen overnight. In response, my work will be ambitious, implementing solutions before I term out; or, when necessary, to set the stage for the next council member to finish the job. My work is not about me, it is about us.
